2023 Victorian Age Long Course Championships | States

One of the most important dates in our swimming calendar are the State Age championships. Once a year this competition brings together the stronger swimmers of the state and allows them to compete and this is also the last opportunity to get a National qualifying time. Young athletes that are considering competitive swimming, can start racing and taking part at the state age championships from 12 years of age, young swimmers can enter the state long course (50m pool) as long as they have qualifying times that would have been obtain through “qualifying meets” over the season.

This year Cheltenham swimming club achieved a great number of personal best, with some kids obtaining more qualifying times for Nationals and Kiara Mooney obtaining two silver medals.

Another great results was for our 16 year old Boys qualifying as a relay team for the National championships in Queensland.
